About Us
The CSUF Advertising Club is more than just any club; it’s an opportunity to shape your path and career for one of the most competitive industries. Our club and board members are fully supportive by providing members of our club the information they need to help shape their knowledge of advertising, locate strong internship opportunities, and ultimately find the dream job they feel passionate about. Guest speakers from credible advertising agencies speak at each meeting to inform our members of their journey to the industry, including obstacles they have had to overcome to get where they are today. Also, having close ties with leading agencies gives the Ad Club an advantage. We provide an abundant number of internships to our members and many times have this information prior to it being available for any candidate to see.
To help our members prepare for the real world, we hold resume and portfolio reviews with professionals and industry leaders. This provides insight, awareness, and development for what the industry is looking for in an individual. Additionally, the Ad Club travels to various agencies for tours. Members are able to see how the industry operates on an everyday basis, as well as provides an opportunity for networking with actual professionals. Finally, the Ad Club understands the competitive edge required to fill a position in the industry; therefore, we hold an annual Creative Competition. The Creative Competition is targeted for Creatives who want their work to be displayed. The opportunity is invaluable as industry leaders review and score the work of students, which is something that is rarely available.
