National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders.

CSUF NSSLHA is one of 314 independently operated chapters located on college campuses and universities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Greece, and Saudi Arabia. Having a NSSLHA chapter on your campus ensures that a student will have access to resources and information to succeed in the field of audiology, speech-pathology, and speech-hearing research.

The CSUF NSSLHA chapter offers great opportunities for networking as well. We have a different come to each of meetings to present research, case studies and job opportunities. We also have a lot of opportunities for volunteering in the community and fundraising opportunities for CSUF’s Speech and Hearing Clinic, The Center for Children who Stutter and NSSLHA LOVES. If you have any questions or if you are interested in speaking at one of our meetings please send an email to nsslhapresident@yahoo.com

Student's Experience

“CSUF NSSLHA has a long history of being a great
chapter and I am happy to help continue that legacy.
My goal for my time as president is to create
opportunities for members to gain scholastic, exciting
and meaningful experiences that will have a positive
influence on these future clinicians as they are
exposed to a wide variety of viewpoints and
skill-sets from well-established working professionals
through my Words of Wisdom program.”
