Public Relations Student Society of America

In 1968, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) was founded. In that same year, our Robert E. Rayfield PRSSA chapter at Cal State Fullerton became one of the first official chapters.

PRSSA is a pre-professional organization designed to prepare students for a career in public relations. As a student organization, we provide our members with educational and networking opportunities to give them a better understanding of the public relations profession.

PRSSA typically meets in the Titan Student Union on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. Our events consist of a new discussion topic each week. We hold speaking sessions about trends and fields in the public relations profession, such as entertainment public relations, sports PR, diversity, social media, corporate PR and much more. We also go on agency visits, attend networking events and participate in the annual Bateman Case Study Competition. To learn more, visit our website at

Message from the President

“PRSSA opens new doors for our members every day. Students get hands-on campaign experience that stands out on a resume. We also provide our members with networking, internship and scholarship opportunities that give members the connections, knowledge and confidence that helps them succeed in this competitive profession.”

        -Christa Keizer, President
