California State University, Fullerton and San Diego State University are honored to host the PRSSA 2009 National Conference. In continuing with PRSSA’s tradition of outstanding programming and collaborative excellence, we will make this year’s Conference in San Diego an unforgettable experience. The PRSSA 2009 National Conference, “Creating Currents: Surfing the Waves of Change,” will prepare students to dive into the dynamic profession of public relations. This Conference is structured to guide attendees through the changing currents of a culturally diverse society, the economy, technology and globalization through professional programs and by providing awareness for the transformation.
The interactive sessions and workshops will provide you an informative and insightful look into the currents of public relations and the changes that face the profession. Featuring experienced professionals offering their expertise, advice and guidance, each session will focus on effective public relations tactics and strategies including awareness campaigns, press tours, event planning and social media. Professional Development session topics will include entertainment, sports, crisis management, technology, fashion and health care.
The Professional Development workshops, designed to foster relationships between attendees and professionals, will help you sharpen your networking skills, research Accreditation and graduate programs, and learn the tricks to proper business etiquette. We recommend you bring your resumes and business cards for the professional speed-networking workshop and ever popular Career Development Exhibition.
At Conference, you will have the opportunity to connect with other students and professionals, to create lifelong relationships that will enhance your public relations career, encourage ethical practice and create a change that ignites your passion to lead.
