Student Organizations Accessing Resources
Student Organizations Accessing Resources -- Communications InterClub Council (SOAR-CICC) was developed by CSUF Associated Students Incorporated Board of Directors along with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. SOAR offers funding for communication related organizations and to individual students seeking funding for activities directly related to their majors.
SOAR-CICC is a funding council for the students and clubs in the College of Communications. ASI provides SOAR a budget to provide funds for students that want to attend conferences and host on-campus events.
SOAR has elected representatives from Communications clubs, Members-at-Large, ASI Reps, a student Executive Board, and advisor Peggy Bockman. SOAR encourages clubs and organizations to work together by exchanging ideas, enhancing growth outside the classroom, and promoting unity and diversity.
"I feel prepared to enter the real-world because of the leadership opportunities at Cal State Fullerton. As SOAR-CICC chair for the past two years, I’ve learned how to become an effective leader and how to inspire other students to do the same. This experience has challenged me, but has been rewarding. Getting involved at CSUF gives you an edge over those who simply come to class and leave. Make time to join a club/organization or take a leadership position because I know it’s well worth it. That’s when you’re a true Titan."
